I followed the e-mails below and tried several permeitations for rcsinfo: CVSROOT C:\myCVS\repro\CVSROOT\tc.template DEFAULT C:\tc.template or CVSROOT C:\\myCVS\\repro\\CVSROOT\\tc.template DEFAULT C:\\tc.template or CVSROOT C://myCVS//repro//CVSROOT//tc.template DEFAULT C://tc.template The template is in both locations: I checked in the rcsinfo each time (I'm not using verifymsg at ll at thie time) checked out a clean copy of CVSROOT. Edited a file (loginfo) and tried to commit and I still get the old template. Do I have to use verifymsg? ----- Original Message ---- From: Arthur Barrett <arthur.barrett at march-hare.com> To: Matthew Rich <mbrich2000 at yahoo.com>; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2008 2:13:39 PM Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Trying to implement commit template > CVSROOT $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/tc.template > DEFAULT $CVSROOT/CVSROOT/tc.template > It's been covered many times before, this is the best one but the threading is broken so you have to follow it by date: http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt/2006-September/026732.html http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt/2006-September/026734.html http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt/2006-September/026737.html http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt/2006-September/026739.html http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt/2006-September/026740.html Regards, Arthur
