I have updated my CVSNT client to 2.5.04.3055 (see other thread as to why) and then I had to do some maintenance of code against a server running 2.5.03.2260. The strange thing is that all commands now fail as shown in the two examples below: cvs log -- modules audit_trigger error (session): [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated. Audit trigger initialiasation failed: cvs server: Pre-command check failed ***** CVS exited normally with code 1 ***** and cvs ver ***** CVS exited normally with code 1 ***** Client: Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.5.04 (Zen) Build 3055 (Release Candidate 7) (client/server) Server: audit_trigger error (session): [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated. Audit trigger initialiasation failed: cvs server: Pre-command check failed Notice that I have *only* changed the *client* side version (I cannot touch the production server). So I had to disable 3055 and revert back to 2382 on my side and then all was back to normal. Why is a client version change affecting the way the audit system is handled on the server????? Sounds crazy to me. HTH /Bo (Bo Berglund, developer in Sweden)
