Great. And if a file was tagged with two or more tags among those you have
selected, maybe in different branches, what revision of the file is brought
to the destination folder? The last tag? The first? Randomly? And how do you
order tags? By date? Alphabetically? By time and branch? And how do you
order branches? By level? By time?

That's why you've been asked to clarify what your needs were - to understand
what you really wanted to accomplish. Didn't ever crossed your mind that if
CVS does not allow to checkout multiple tags at once *there could be a good
reason*, maybe? That a tag is a "snapshot" of the repository at a given
point in time, usually a consistent one, if the "tagger" knows what he's
doing? And that checking out multiple tags at once can easily lead to a mess
if done in the wrong order, or just the result of checking out one last tag
if done in the proper order (unless branches kick in...) ?

Do you think you really solved it? Good luck...

> super-hiper-mega experts could make their questions... but that's ok.

No, but those super-hiper-mega experts understood that under its naivety
your question was more complex than you thought - because they know very
well how CVSNT and tags work. If asking a clarification to better help you
questions you honour, well, this attitude won't bring you far in any
newsgroup I know.
