G'Day all, I am a first time CVS(NT) administrator who is not having much success getting the server up and running. So far, all attempts at RTFM, RTFWS, and any other variant of RTF... has come up with nothing. I am trying to get a CVSNT server running on a Win2K SP4 box for internal remote access. I have created the required based directories (c:\CVS_BASE\cvsrepo & c:\CVS_BASE\cvstemp), along with the groups, users and permissions as detailed in the InstallationTips page of the CVSNT Wiki. I installed the server, and rebooted the machine, then started the services via the CVS for NT "fish". Now, I am having trouble trying to get users added, and connecting to the server locally. I have used CVS before, mainly connecting with pserver, and so that is where I have tried this time. So far - no luck. (Note: some of the names of machines, directories, etc have been changed to protect... well me) The server is server01.local.company.com, and the directories are as listed above. The install is a default install, and the CVS Repository prefix is set to the cvsrepo directory. What should I be doing to get this working? I have tried using the examples in Section 2.9 as a guide, but I have not been getting any success. I have found them to be a little sparse, and my efforts to find other helpful documentation elsewhere (cvsnt.org and beyond) to have been fruitless. Any assistance with this problem will be appreciated, and paid forward when applicable.
