Is this the cvsservice.exe or do you mean cvs.exe? cvsservice.exe is started once when the PC starts and so is one instance. But cvs.exe is started once for each and every folder to process if I am not mistaken (I might be though...). In which case there will be one cvs per folder and user. Then again if cvsservice.exe is the one who gets the lock then all is fine, but if cvs gets it then we might see this strange behaviour. /Bo -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org]On Behalf Of Alexey Panchenko Sent: den 4 mars 2005 09:29 To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re[2]: [cvsnt] CVS lock server Friday, March 4, 2005, 2:18:28 PM, Bo Berglund wrote: BB> Then the problem will be this: BB> If CVSNT makes a new connection to the lockserver for each processed BB> directory in order to obtains the lock, then each such call will BB> create two sockets on the server, one for CVSNT and one for Lockserver, BB> to communicate over.
