I believe the -r option for the add command was added just to handle the case you mentioned. I don't know if this option is available in WinCVS yet as it's a relatively new feature (few months old) so you might have to use the command line. See the Reference Manual @ http://www.cvsnt.org/manual/html/add.html#id2551164 Matt S. jelinek.robert at siemens.com wrote: > As far as I have seen the parameter -r in the commit-command won´t work anymore because it was removed > > Changelog: > ... > > 2004-11-15 18:44 tmh > src/: client.cpp, commit.cpp, unicode_stuff.cpp: Remove commit -r (just commented for now until I figure out what to do with it) > > ... > > This parameter is very useful, because you are able to commit a file directly into a branch without a need to update the file before. It is a standard-functionality in WinCVS, so it would be helpful to reintegrate it again. > > With best regards > > Robert Jelinek > > ELIN EBG Traction GmbH > ETSW - Competence Center Software > CC-IT - Competence Center IT (Linux and Server Activities) > Cumberlandstrasse 32-34, 1141 Wien, Austria > Phone: +43 1 89990-2290 > Mobile: +43 664 6153450 > Fax: +43 1 89990556-2290 > <mailto:Robert.Jelinek at ElinEbgTraction.at> > <mailto:Jelinek.Robert at siemens.com> > Internet: <http://www.ElinEbgTraction.at> > > sustainable solutions. for a better life. > > recent information: ElinEbgTraction was taken over by Siemens. > > Legal Disclaimer > This electronic message contains information that is confidential.
