If it somehow managed to get around this earlier it is probably a bug in that implementatiion, because the whole idea with SSPI is to reuse the Windows logon and not some random share permissions. In cases where the user connects to a server from a workstation that is not on the same domain as the server then SSPI offers the alternate syntax: :sspi:user at server:/repo This needs a cvs login (once) to determine the credentials and these are then cached in the local user part of the registry.
